WHEN: May 20-25, 2023

WHAT: The 37th National Veterans Golden Games are looking for energetic, dedicated individuals who will volunteer their time and talents which are essential to the success of the Games. VA Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, Iowa will host Veteran athletes 55 years of age and older who will compete in 18 medal sporting events. We look forward to you volunteering in support of this year's Games.

Volunteers Will Receive:

• 37th NVGAG Volunteer T-shirt
• 1 (one) meal or meal voucher per shift

• Air Pistol
• Air Rifle
• Air Rifle Visually Impaired (Exhibition)
• Basketball (3 on 3 and Free Throw Competitions)
• Badminton
• Blind Disc Golf
• Boccia
• Bowling
• Cornhole
• Dominoes (Exhibition)
• Fitness for Life (Crossfit Exhibition)
• Golf
• Horseshoes
• Kickball (Exhibition)
• Nine Ball
• Pickleball
• Powerwalk
• Shuffleboard
• Swimming
• Table Tennis
• Track & Field
• Visually Impaired Air Rifle (Exhibition)

Volunteer Assignments:

• Shifts are approximately 4-6 hours.
• Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older
  • 14-15 years of age permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the volunteer shift
  • 16-17 years of age can volunteer independently with parental consent
    • Download the Youth Volunteer Parental Consent Form and be prepared to present the signed form at your first volunteer shift.
